GREAT FALLS - The State AA and B-C softball tournaments have been postponed and moved to Anaconda because of persistent rains here Friday. “Anaconda? That's fine. That's just closer to home,” said Thompson Falls coach Randy Pirker, whose club is one of the favorites in B-C.
The Stillwater Renegades won the state Class B-C softball championship at Multi-Sports Complex a year ago, and the co-op club from Columbus, Absarokee and Park City returns 14 players from that title-winning roster.
A western Montana team won the first 11 state softball titles for Class B and C schools after the Montana High School Association decided to create a separate division for them in 1996.
